I’ll reveal the answer next week!
For today, we’ll cover someone in the experimental department. Now, you might be wondering what that means. It simply means that their songs/music style are a little different from what we usually hear and listen to. Artists in this genre have to be extra careful as one change in how their songs are could put them in the “pop” or “rock” category. For today, let me introduce Moses Sumney. He is an American singer-songwriter and has released two albums so far. I’d like to introduce his latest album, “Grae”, which has 20 songs. I particularly enjoyed listening to “Cut Me” and for more songs, give his NPR video a listen!
The said album is available on most streaming services, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc. Unfortunately, you can’t stream all of his songs for free, but he has made some music videos on his Youtube channel, so if he piques your interest, please visit his channel!
Stay tuned for next week’s recommendation!
In connection with last week’s column, Anna Wintour, the head of Vogue, and the inspiration for a few movies, namely “Devil Wears Prada”, has apologized for the lack of African-American employees in her company. She said that she takes full responsibility for it, but then it raises the question that did she apologize because she’s sincerely sorry or because it is what a lot of people in position are doing? Give the article a listen and let me know what you think!
Remember to take care of yourself and stay safe.
