Hello there, I hope you are doing well.

The warm, warm days are here, so make sure you try

to cool down with ice cream, or cooling products!

Let’s start the day with some uplifting news! Japan has relied on renewable energy, such as wind and solar power, which contributes 17% of the overall resources. However, a huge part of it is from fossil/biomass fuel and this is harmful to the environment because of its great emissions of CO2. Now, the country has started to work on relying on forests to produce energy. There would be no need to cut down forests and reforest them afterward. It’s unclear how exactly this would be effective, but they claimed that it would yield double compared to how much energy biomass fuel is producing now.

Today’s Rebus:

Here’s a brief explanation of the hints:

Something we might have gotten from the British or the Europeans, but we all enjoy a cup of tea at noon. If your answer was “noon tea”, then you got the right answer!

Here’s for this week’s rebus:

HEAD

HEELS

HINT: When you really, really like someone, you forget rationality and you just try to impress them. You try to do everything to make them happy, even if they don’t return your feelings. When you’re in that state, you are (answer) for that person!

I’ll reveal the answer next week!

Today’s ESL Recommendation:

http://iteslj.org/questions/

All over the world, people need someone to evaluate how their speaking skill in English is. I understand the frustration, especially now, in the times of the Coronavirus. I suggested the link above because it provides hundreds of prompt questions, which would surely make you think of an answer. In case you’re preparing for a major test, but are scared to go out, you could easily record your answers with a voice recording device/application and ask a language exchange partner or a teacher to correct it for you.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

Today’s Column:

Something to ponder on, it’s the talk of the town, even in other countries how they’d be able to boost their tourism after the pandemic. In Japan, one attempt is the launch of a Harry Potter-themed amusement park. This will be placed in Toshimaen and personally, I think it would increase the local tourism, but the international one, I’m not so sure. Only time can tell.

Remember to take care of yourself and stay safe.
