Today’s 3-Hint Quiz:

Here’s a brief explanation of the hints.

Nocturnal simply means it’s more active at night than during the day. Eucalyptus leaves are called ユーカリの葉 in Japanese. The answer is “koala”!

Here’s for this week’s 3-hint quiz!

Hint 1: It is located at the east of Japan. This shouldn’t be confused with eastern Japan.
Hint 2: The younger generation have been into its culture, both traditional and modern.
Hint 3: Their writing system has been developed from Chinese.

I’ll reveal the answer next week!

Today’s Album:

For today, let’s talk about someone who’s a bit indie. Her name is Rina Sawayama and she grew up in London. Her most recent album named “SAWAYAMA” is dedicated to how she perceives Japan, its culture, people, and tradition.

My favorite track from the album is “XS”. It talks about hyper consumerism and how the current generation deals with it. I like it because the song is catchy and the meaning is deep.

The said album is available on most streaming services, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc. You can also stream it on Youtube:

Stay tuned for next week’s recommendation!

For today, we’ll talk about something a little serious. You may or may not have heard of Hana Kimura. She was in a TV show called “Terrace House” and people recognize her because of her bubbly personality and pink hair. As people got to know her in the show, some netizens have started saying negative comments on social media about her, which has led to something gravely serious. Cyberbullying is a serious issue and the whole world is finding ways to alleviate and address this issue. May she rest in peace and my most sincere condolences to her family.

Remember to take care of yourself and stay safe.
